Integrated Pest Management {IPM}
IPM is a balanced, tactical approach to pest control. It involves inspecting sites to determine what actions and control methods to take based off of that assessment to prevent further damage. The goal is to achieve economical and effective pest control with the least risk to the public health and the environment.
We naturally want to defend the things in our lives that are the most valuable to us, and our homes and businesses are probably the most valuable investment we will ever make. So when termites show up and threaten that investment you need to act fast! Termites left untreated can destroy the structure of your home or business. At the first signs of a termite infestation you need to call the experts that can defend your home. Redline Pest Defense is trained in the recognition and elimination of Termites and other wood destroying insects that could threaten your investments.
Eliminating a spider infestation can be very difficult as spiders reproduce quickly and often nest out-of- sight. The spider control experts at Redline Pest Defense will provide a thorough inspection of your home to identify where the spiders are entering your home as well as where they nest and lay eggs. Because spiders feed on other insects, one of the most common forms of spider control is to remove any other pest problems that may be inside your building. During our inspection, we’ll recommend any additional pest control options to keep your home or office spider and pest free.
Armyworms are green-striped caterpillar larvae of the adult armyworm moth. Armyworms got their name because they travel in small armies, eating everything in their paths. They can destroy your lawn in less than 24 hours! Because they mostly feed at night, you may not see the caterpillars right away. Brown spots on your lawn are often the first sign that you have an armyworm problem. An increase of the number of birds in your yard may be an indication of armyworms. The earlier you treat the problem, the easier it is to control and less damage a lawn will sustain. At the first sign of Army worms you should contact Redline Pest Defense immediately! If they are in your yard they are probably all around and getting on the schedule will be tough.
You can help prevent army worms by keeping a normal watering schedule that could force the Worms onto neighbors, as well as keeping grass cut shorter to discourage feeding or hiding. Army worms tend to come out at the end of summer to first of fall, so Keep an eye on your yard!
If ants have infested your home or business, they can quickly become a major nuisance, contaminating food and even damaging your building’s structure. Ants not only multiply extremely quickly, but certain types leave behind pheromones which actually attract more ants to the colony they have set up in your building. With over 700 known species, the key to effectively eliminating an ant problem is to call on a professional. David At Redline Pest Defense will identify which species of ant has entered your home and will come up with a plan that fits your unique situation and defend your home from these unwanted guests.
There are a few things you can do to help prevent Fire Ant mounds from developing in your yard: remove standing water around your property, trim tree branches touching your home and make sure firewood is not stored next to your property. And if ants have already taken up residence in your kitchen or bathrooms, we make ant control and elimination simple. Contact Redline Pest Defense and “Let the people you already trust defend your home!”
Carpenter Ant infestations may be difficult to spot as most colonies make their home buried inside walls, crevices, and other hidden away areas. One definite sign of a severe ant infestation is the appearance of ants with large wings. These ants are called, “alates,” and play a primary role in reproduction. Seeing these in your home or office almost always indicate there is a well-established colony nearby that will require a professional pest control expert to properly address the infestation. Another indicator is the presence of a dirt like substance called “Frass” around window sills, bath traps, or door frames.
Carpenter ants are quite difficult to control because once their main colony is established, they often establish smaller colonies, usually inside crevices, crawlspaces, attics, and other hollow areas of your home or office. Unlike most household ants, if you have a carpenter ant infestation, significant damage to the structure of your building is likely. Though they do not eat wood, carpenter ants bury their colonies deep inside the structure, burrowing through wood to stay hidden away.
If you believe you have a carpenter ant infestation, it is recommended you deal with the problem quickly before major building repairs are necessary. Redline Pest Defense specializes in identifying carpenter ant colonies and a developing long-lasting treatment program to keep carpenter ants away for good.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- Do I need to be home for treatment?
- You do not need to be home for outside treatments as long as your yard is accessible and pets are secured. For inside treatments if needed or desired it is up to you if you want to be there or not. Some clients provide us with their garage codes and allow us to treat as necessary. We understand that takes a lot of trust to have a stranger in your home and totally respect your privacy and choices. Redline Pest Defense was founded on the principles of trust and respect to provide a service different than the others to help you defend your home with piece of mind. David is a career public servant and licensed through Texas Real Estate Commission which screens everyone that is licensed with them through criminal data bases.
- Do I need to secure my pets?
- Please do. We love pets and would love to get to know them. That’s why we want them to be secure during treatment to keep them safe. Everything we spray in the house is safe to pets, but needs 30-40 mins to dry. If licked up wet it could cause your pet to get sick at their stomach and also negate our objective of placing an interior barrier inside your home. We would also like the pets to be secured from exterior during treatment as well. Again the product needs 30-40 mins to dry and we all know how inquisitive pets are to new smells. We don’t want them to get sick or scared and try and get out of your yard.
- Will anything you are spraying hurt my landscaping or Plants?
- The products we are spraying are all safe to your landscaping or plants and will not harm them.
- Does weather/ rain effect your treatments?
- It absolutely can effect the exterior treatment. That’s why we keep updated on the potential forecasts and only spray your exterior if it has time to dry completely before the rain. The product we put down is combined with a surfactant which helps it adhere to where it is applied. Once completely dried it will stay in place for up to 3 months. If for some reason it rains heavily enough to remove the treatment before it dries, we will return and re treat.
- Do you offer Discounts?
- To express our gratitude to our Brothers and Sisters in Fire, Police, or Military service we offer significant discounts to active and retired members.
